Raymond Torres-Santos was nominated for the International Society of Music Education’s Board. The International Society for Music Education, with headquarters in Australia, was formed at a conference convened by UNESCO in 1953 ‘to stimulate music education as an integral part of general education.’ This has been ISME’s primary concern over the past decades and is its most important motivation.
