Dr. Raymond Torres-Santos organized the 7th Symposium on Music Research at the Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music in San Juan dedicated to the Puerto Rican Classical Music, particularly on the life and work of his first composition mentors, composers Héctor Campos-Parsi (pupil of Nadia Boulanger in Paris) and Amaury Veray (pupil of Ildebrando Pizzetti in Rome) as part of their centennial celebration this year. He also curated a concert of emblematic works and served as moderator and presenter.
The symposium had the participation of forty seven composers, musicologists, theorists and performers, including celebrated conductor José Serebrier, in addition to the appearances of Camerata Caribe, Trio Sanromá and the Conservatory Symphony Orchestra on March 31, April 1 and 2.
